Project 2 Final Submission

Study 1: Psychological Relationship
- There are 3 zones identified in Gehry House : vigour, temporal retreat and full retreat. The zones are identified by the overlapping of grey band 'casted' by solids. The level of darkness portrays the level of security and privacy each area holds. On the contrary, the level of brightness portrats the level of interaction and publicity each area holds.

Study 2:  The relationship between the Interior and the Exterior
- Externally, the trees is just the adornment to the street. Internally, the openings of the house frame the trees together with the sky to celebrates the internal activities. Exterior element enhances the domestic life in the interior and these elements are articulated through specific openings. For example, the iconic cactus enhances the atmosphere of the playroom and strengthen the idea of how important it is to have a place to relax in a house.

Study 3: The Detail and The Whole
- The details are all the openings of the house. The whole division of space is articulated through hte relationship set up by the openings. The detail establishes connection between the living, interactive and the garden, making them visually accessible as a whole continuation of space.

 Conclusion:
- The uses of radical openings and the superposition between the solid and the void to create an ideal life that people sought after in an urban setting. Radical openings and stripped down wall enables the exterior element to enhance the domestic occupation while carefully considered interlacing between the solid and the void enable a smoother transition for our state of mind.
